The Unemployed Show Awards

Littlefield, Gowanus
8:00pm

Photo of New York City Comedy The Unemployed Show

The Unemployed Show is getting up from the couch and going LIVE on a stage for their first ever award show! They’ve aired over 30 episodes and have had some of the city’s funniest [unemployed/freelance] guests. America’s favorite unemployed millennial Anna Roisman hosts the show featuring star performers who also happen to not have jobs, like, on that day. With music, standup, and of course an in memoriam, it's the award show of the season to attend! Pajamas invited, always.

The Unemployed Show is a Facebook Live talk show with late night humor, hosted by [employable] comedian Anna Roisman. It’s the spontaneity of Watch What Happens Live meets the millennial chill factor of Broad City. Each week Anna interviews creative people who are either unemployed or “freelance” while sitting in pajamas on her couch, drinking. [Yolo, baby!] Through segments like, “Anna Sells Her Sh*t” (QVC-style) to “Clay Makin: Sculpting Dicks Out Of Clay From Real Dick Pics,” to a “Live Phone Interview While Playing A Drinking Game,” The Unemployed Show celebrates the silver lining of being unemployed with everyone who can relate. It’s the show that people at work wish they were on, instead of secretly watching it on their computers.
